It’s been a few weeks since my last review but I’ve finally finished another book for 2016! And so here is my Choose Yourself book review.
Choose Yourself by James Altucher is a book for the modern age of employment. With the unpredictable economic climate employees are no longer able to rely on employers for their financial security. Rather this book argues that employees (you and I) need to choose ourselves and take responsibility for our freedom.
Here it is, my fifth book for the year! I can already tell that the habit of reading these books is beneficial for me. I’m learning lots and I’m also finding that I’m more motivated to achieve my goals for my life! And this book actually fits really well in with the habit of reading. So here is my The Slight Edge book review!
The Slight Edge is a book I have heard about from a number of very successful people and I can tell why! It is an excellent book with a lot of really positive and actionable ideas. I loved reading it!
The book I read this week is called The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau from The Art of Non-Conformity.
Overall I found the book to be a fairly easy read with lots of interesting material. The book is obviously aimed at those looking to start a small/micro business and it covers a wide array of topics concerning how to go about doing this. The book uses a lot of real world examples of people who have successfully started their own micro businesses in order to teach these points. Having these examples is very helpful as you can easily see how the principles relate to businesses and then how they may relate to your own plans.
I’ve just finished my third book for the year! Woohoo! 🙂 And so here is my Zero to One book review, enjoy!
Zero to One was a book I’d heard about in a number of different places on the internet and I was keen to read it. It was certainly an interesting book!
Another week has gone by and I’ve completed another book! 🙂 Here is my Level Up Your Life book review, enjoy!
The book I read is called Level Up Your Life: How to Unlock Adventure and Happiness by Becoming the Hero of Your Own Story by Steve Kamb of Nerd Fitness.
Similar to many of you I decided to make reading more one of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2016. More specifically I’m going to read 2 books a month for a total of 24 by the end of the year.
To be honest I may have already been reading this much in previous years as I tend to read a lot but I’ve never actually kept track of the books I’ve read. I guess my resolution is more about reviewing and recording the books I read each year.
So right on time I’ve completed my first book for the year: Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less. So here is my Essentialism book review, enjoy!
